FAQs

What exactly is Teedog?

Teedog is an independent apparel brand based in Ballarat, Victoria. I specialize in hand-printed gear that’s designed to look great, feel premium, and actually last. Everything is designed in-house and hand-pressed by me.

Where did the name come from?

‘Tee’ is the staple of my brand – t shirts. ‘Dog’ was my sons first word on repeat when deciding on a brand name. I also love dogs and my girls, Narly + Stella, are my favourite running partners.

Can I buy your items in person?

You sure can. I’m a regular at the Ballarat Farmers Market (4th Saturday of every month) and the Buninyong Market. It’s a good way to try on the range, feel the quality, and say g’day in person.

Are these designs original?

100%. Every drawing, doodle, and layout is created by me. When you buy Teedog, you’re wearing a unique piece of art that you won’t find in a big-box retail store. No AI is ever used in the process of my designs.

How do you print your designs?

I handle the entire printing process right here in my home workshop in Ballarat, which is kitted out with three different heat presses. I use the highest quality DTF (Direct to Film) prints on the market to bring my designs to life. This "small batch" approach means I can focus on quality over quantity, making sure every single shirt meets my standards before it goes out the door.

Is Teedog an ethical brand?

Absolutely. Sustainability and ethics aren't just buzzwords here. I use 100% plastic-free, compostable packaging (including the stickers!) and I only partner with suppliers who provide fair, safe working conditions. We print in small batches to ensure we never contribute to the mountain of "fast fashion" waste.

Where do you source your clothing?

I hand-pick high-quality blanks from suppliers who are based right here in Australia and align with Teedog’s values regarding ethical production and fair pay. I specifically chose these partners because they allow for fast turnarounds and low minimum orders. This is a big part of my "small batch" ethos—it means I only order what I need, when I need it, which helps us stay true to our goal of reducing waste.

Whether it’s the heavy-weight cotton for the casual range or the technical, recycled fabrics for the running gear, everything is chosen for longevity and performance.

How do I care for my gear?

To keep your gear and the hand-printed designs looking crisp, stick to these steps:

  • Cold wash only on a gentle cycle.
  • Wash inside out to protect the print.
  • Air dry inside only—keep them away from the tumble dryer and direct sunlight.
  • No harsh chemicals or bleach.
  • Never iron directly on the prints.

Following these basics ensures both the material and the print go the distance.

What size should I order?

Casual Range (Unisex Relaxed Fit)

  • Guys: Usually your standard size. For an oversized fit, size up one.
  • Ladies: These are a loose fit, so size down once if you prefer it more tailored.

Running Range (Slim Athletic Fit)

  • Guys: These are a slimmer cut. If you are between sizes, I recommend going for the bigger size.
  • Ladies: For a standard fit, size down one. If you prefer a slightly oversized or baggy fit for running, stick with your normal size.

The "Pro Tip": Grab your favourite-fitting tee from home, measure the width and length, and compare it to the Size Guide on the product page before you hit buy.

I need to start a return. What do I do?

If the fit isn't right, no worries. As long as the item is unworn and in its original condition, you can return it within 14 days. Just get in touch below to get the process started and we’ll go from there.

Where is my order?
